As a Sr. Retirement Analyst you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and administration of Fortune Brand Innovation s defined contribution, defined benefit, and supplemental retirement programs. The Sr. Retirement Analyst will work closely with the FBIN Retirement Team, division personnel, and plan recordkeeper to resolve 401k administrative issues, and drive operational process improvements.

The Sr. Retirement Analyst will also coordinate plan compliance activities such as SARs, Form 5500 filings, 11k filings, PBGC premium payments, plan audits, nondiscrimination testing, as well as coordinating with vendors for the integration of new plans acquired through corporate acquisitions. This role will also work closely with leaders on other special projects and strategic initiatives for retirement as well as other non-retirement benefits projects.

This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days each week spent in the Deerfield, IL office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with plan recordkeepers, payroll, and FBIN business units to ensure that all retirement plans are administered in accordance with plan documents and applicable regulations.

  • Coordinate the execution of non-discrimination testing and plan audits.

  • Lead efforts to harmonize retirement processes and setups within multiple payroll and HR systems. Ensure consistent processes and compliance with plan administration requirements.

  • Lead the project planning & execution of initiatives to streamline retirement plan processes & procedures.

  • Prepare plan specific reports, e.g., 401k dashboards & the Compliance Calendar for Committee meetings.

  • Evaluate and refine oversight procedures for missing participants, death searches, aging checks & delinquent loans.

  • Coordinate certain compliance activities such as 11-k filings, Form 5500 filings, PBGC premiums, SARs, and AFNs.

  • Support business units & Senior Manager, Retirement on special projects, M&A activities, and other strategic initiatives.

  • Oversee maintenance and distribution of plan documents and summary plan descriptions.

  • Review payment directives for all retirement plan vendor invoices.



    Qualifications

    • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent with at least 3 -5 years of experience in 401k plan or general benefits administration.

    • Strong HR benefit knowledge across all types of retirement plans. Knowledge of health and welfare programs is a plus.

    • Knowledge of federal regulations such as ERISA, PPA, IRC, PBGC, SEC and DOL requirements.

    • Expertise with Fidelity PSW recordkeeping system and general familiarity with HRIS/payroll systems.

    • Experience coordinating plan audits and non-discrimination testing.

    • Excellent communication skills with a focus on confidentiality.

    • Experience resolving routine to complex benefits compliance issues.

    • Strong research, analytical, problem solving & project management skills with a focus on process improvements.

    • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize work on various projects.

    • Ability to influence others in a team environment and drive change with a flexible & adaptive mindset.

    • Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
