Job Description:

  • Responsible for the freight audit functions ( all modes ), working closely with payment company's audit team. Carrier cost projection analysis to maintain or reduce carrier pricing.
  • Carrier rate change analysis, efficient and timely data review and entry into our Transportation Management Systems.
  • This job requires the maintenance of good relations with the internal and external parties that play a role in Medline%26rsquo;s freight rating processes. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: -Processing / monitoring of freight invoices, monitoring divisional billing, carrier payments, pre and post audit, analysis and rating projects for internal customers. Rating also includes carriers annual or bi-annual rate increase analysis and modeling -Monitor freight payment company's audit functions. Work directly with the freight payment company's audit group (Pre-Post) to ensure accurate and timely processing of Medlines carrier invoicing. Work to automate / streamline processes (Invoice Review / Rating / EDI / Remits/ etc -Freight analysis and modeling of Medline transportation network, this includes freight analysis of current business and new, analyze existing data if moved to another location. Freight analysis also includes processing cost projection analysis for carrier selection, carrier rate increase analysis, et -Maintain / manage the Transportation Management Systems. Review and enter data related to carrier setup & pricing. Work closely with the TMS group who maintains TMS Carrier restrictions. -Parcel Billing invoice and reporting. Processing of the weekly Parcel invoice, work toward automation of this process Secondary Job Responsibilities: -Internal / External Customer relations, maintain a communication with all groups involved with freight invoicing, carriers, etc -Carrier Invoicing, Processing of carrier invoicing into a database prior to submitting. -Freight Review of Carrier Balance Due; Work with our pay agent or carrier to reduce or eliminate balance due invoices. JOB REQUIREMENTS Clear understanding of the Transportation Industry, How contracts are created, Carrier Tariffs are created and work, rating knowledge, automated TMS (Transportation Management System) system functionality -Four - Year College degree in Logistics / Transportation / Finance / Business preferred or equivalent experience required. -2 - 5 years%26rsquo; experience working in the transportation industry. -Self-directed and highly motivated individual who, when presented with complex carrier analysis and freight payment issues, can get to the root cause and/or perform analysis to find the best solution Proficient in Excel, Word, TMS, SAP Experience a plus
    • Clear understanding of the Transportation Industry, how contracts are created, carrier tariffs are created and work, rating knowledge, automated TMS (Transportation Management System) system functionality. Experience in Freight Audit/Payment would be a plus
