Sr. Data Architect - W2 ONLY

Location: Riverwoods, IL
Contract: 6+ months
Pay rate: $90+/hr


Job Description:



--- Responsible for designing or providing inputs into the design of data platforms for the company.
--- Provides framework for how data and data related technologies and methodologies are used across the company.
--- Enables and support analytics initiatives and operational processes.
--- Collaborates with cross functional teams, platform teams and Enterprise architecture to drive innovation, document and adopt standard data architecture artifacts.
--- Ensures data architectures are designed for security and align with the company's data governance, risk management and cybersecurity policies.
--- Ensures that data assets are managed and flows appropriately through the enterprise and meets business needs.
--- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities:



--- Develops the technology roadmap for big data analytical solutions and real time decision capabilities.
--- Educates the organization on new analytical approaches.
--- Identifies business analytical requirements and expected outcomes.
--- Develops data analytics solution architecture and patterns to meet business needs.
--- Recommends decision technology integration patterns and designs, experiments, tests hypotheses, and build statistical models. Conducts data analyses and designs algorithms.
--- Designs data pipelines, conceptual data models, and physical and schematic data models.
--- Drives engagement with business stakeholders on the use of statistical tools, analytical tools, and decision engines.
--- Serves as a mentor for the team and helps grow its foundational capabilities.
--- Acts as a thought leader, stays abreast of industry trends and shares expertise with an extended team.
Minimum Qualifications:



--- Bachelors in Computer Science or related
--- 10+ Years Software Development, Software Engineering, Technical Architecture or related
Preferred Qualifications:



--- Proven expertise in designing and developing data architecture, this includes defining data models, developing data schemas and data storage solutions to simplify our businesses data needs.
--- Provide guidance to the team to develop industry standard scalable and re-usable data pipelines on traditional ETL tools like ( Ab Initio, Informatica, etc ) or leverages Open Source ETL stack.
--- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to work closely with business partners including data analyst, data scientist, business intelligence and engineering groups to ensure that data architecture solutions are well-aligned with organizations overall strategy and goals.
--- Continuously retrospect the current data challenges and provide technical thought leadership to business and senior leadership to mature our existing data needs as well as recommend new tools and techniques to improve data architecture solutions.
--- An Industry expert with proven background in data architecture, data security, data quality and data governance.
--- Domain expertise with Marketing data and background in Financial Services is a huge plus.
