Po sit i on H i gh li ghts: Position: X-Ray Technologist I ICC
Location: Deerfield, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time (40hrs/wk)
Hours: 9AM-7PM Monday to Friday with rotating weekends Required
Travel: N/A What you will need : License: IEMA licensing Education:
Certificate or Associates degree from an accredited radiology
program Certification: CPR certification required. ARRT registry
eligible required at time of hire. Experience: Previous radiology
experience preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication
and customer service skills required What you will do : Be cross
trained in the areas of phlebotomy and medical assisting- will
assist in all MA responsibilities up to 70% of the time Performs
radiographic examinations for use by physicians in diagnosing and
treating patient illness and/or injury, in accordance with
departmental standards, policies and procedures. Consistently works
independently and operates all equipment with minimal assistance to
performance procedures. Has basic knowledge of HIS/RIS/PACS. Must
be able to fit in add-ons, stat cases and inpatients in a timely
and appropriate manner. Completes all paperwork and submits images
in a timely manner. Acts as a receptionist as needed and answers
phone with proper etiquette. Assists in printing films and
retrieval of reports, training of new technologist personnel and
students, transporting of patients as needed. Reviews radiographs
to ensure optimum quality. Reports environmental/equipment problems
to appropriate resource personnel NorthShore University
