Description Robert Half currently has a position open at a renowned company for an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional. You will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Vernon Hills, Illinois area.Your responsibilities- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization- Verify codes and documents- Sort out payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks Requirements - 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy- Knowledgeable of ERP systems- Well-founded grasp of chargebacks- Foundational knowledge in Cash Payments- General familiarity with Credit Memo- Collecting Payments experience- Expertise in Payment Processing- Skills in Verify Invoices- Earlier work involving Enter Invoices- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Good understanding of Missing Invoices- Practical knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices- Quality experience with Coding Invoices- Previous experience working with Prepare Invoices- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel- Prior experience with enterprise resource planning- Experience with Resolve Disputes- Wide ranging experience with customer invoices- Cash posting experience highly desired- Hands-on experience with ERP Solutions- Proven knowledge of cash reconciliations- Comprehension of Dispute Resolution- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
