Position Summary:

The Associate Director, Commercial Coaching Excellence is responsible for enhancing the commercial leadership, management and coaching skills of the commercial organization. This role will help to drive results through advancing leadership, professional and technical skills of all commercial teams. The person in this role will collaborate closely with sales and commercial leaders and cross-functional teams. The Associate Director, Commercial Coaching Excellence will help to train the organization on leadership, management and coaching models, as well as commercial processes and cycles, to drive results. The person in this position will implement strategic sales and leadership models/strategies/processes and effectively instruct on how to utilize tools available to maximize opportunities. Specific responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

Coaching

Design, build, deliver and pull-through commercial leadership training and strategic commercial organization initiatives (across all business units and commercial teams):

  • Leader of commercial leadership training, commercial initiatives and execution excellence
  • Leadership/management/coaching model/framework/strategy execution and pull-through
  • Develop leadership/management/coaching skills processes and standard competencies - skills and behaviors
  • Design, build and deliver leadership/management/coaching skills training - identify critical skillsets, develop management role excellent profiles, business planning processes, (Initial, Advanced and Continuous learning programs)
  • Lead ongoing internal commercial leaders' needs assessments and identifies appropriate training opportunities
  • Propose innovative solutions to commercial leadership to drive results
  • Provide coaching on behavioral and coaching models
  • Participate in operating mechanisms to drive achievement of business goals
  • Collaborate cross functionally and with leadership to implement changes to existing processes and/or models
  • Develop innovative method to provide effective coaching and measurement for sales and commercial leaders/managers
  • Establish KPIs and measurements of success

Sales

  • Design, build, deliver and lead sales force selling initiatives: (across all selling teams)
  • Institute selling model/framework/strategy, matrix team selling approach
  • Develop selling skills processes and standard competencies - skills and behaviors - virtual and face to face engagements
  • Design, build and deliver selling skills training (virtual and face to face engagements) - identify critical skillsets, develop role excellent profiles, account and territory management, (Initial, Advanced and Continuous learning programs)
  • Lead ongoing internal selling needs assessments and identifies appropriate training opportunities
  • Propose innovative solutions to Sales leadership to drive sales results
  • Provide coaching on both sales and behavioral models
  • Participate in operating mechanisms to drive achievement of business goals
  • Collaborate cross functionally and with leadership to implement changes to existing processes and/or models
  • Develop innovative method to provide effective coaching and measurement for sales managers
  • Establish KPIs and measurements of success

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related sales role required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership (sales management) role required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a training role required
  • Experience working in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills
  • Strong collaboration and partnership with Sales Training, Market Access Leadership, Patient Services teams, Sales Leadership, Commercial Leadership, Commercial Business Unit leadership and Talent, Diversity & Inclusion team.
