Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing the payroll including all data entry and maintaining the timekeeping software. This position also administers all payroll reconciliations and oversees all quarterly and year-end tax processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily operation of payroll, timekeeping & ensures accuracy of data submitted & processed
• Acts as liaison with ADP WorkforceNow Comprehensive services and oversees and audits multi- state payroll processing
• Administers payroll reconciliations
• Responsible for oversight of quarterly and year end-tax reporting
• Responsible for review and translation and works with Accounting on G/L data transfer to internal financial systems
• Manage, monitor, and resolve issues related to vendor's interface and file uploads/imports
• Oversees annual tax reporting process (e.g., W2's, 1095's)
• Acts as subject matter expert for system implementations, upgrades and enhancements
• Facilitate management and employee understanding of payroll procedures
• Creates and provides reports to extract data from ADP WorkforceNow Payroll to create business intelligence reports for management and auditors

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzes and responds to complex matters, including employees' questions and/or outside agency questions
• Assists with setup and creation of new unemployment & state income tax jurisdictions
• Assists with performing payroll quality assurance reviews
• Enforces established payroll related policies, procedures and regulations
• Keeps knowledgeable of payroll system and change in wage/tax laws to ensure compliance with all local, state & federal wage laws
• Collaborates with payroll & HRIS team along with human resources team for any payroll, HRIS or human resources related projects as required

Job Requirements/Specifications

Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• HS Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years payroll processing experience required, preferably ADP WorkforceNow
• 1+ years eTime / Kronos experience a plus
• Multi state payroll experience preferred
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred but not required
