Job Description Job Description Job Title: Digital Print Operator Reports To: Production Supervisor / Print Manager 12 hr. Shift 6 PM - 6 AM Job Summary: The Digital Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials according to customer specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to meet production deadlines, and adherence to quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Operate digital printing presses (e.g., HP Indigo, Xerox, Ricoh, Canon, or equivalent) to produce jobs as scheduled. - Interpret job tickets, artwork, and production instructions to ensure accurate output. - Perform routine equipment maintenance, troubleshoot print quality issues, and make necessary adjustments. - Load and manage media, inks, and other consumables to keep production running smoothly. - Conduct quality checks on printed materials to ensure color accuracy, registration, and finishing meet specifications. - Maintain accurate records of production runs, materials usage, and job completion times. - Work closely with prepress/design teams to resolve file issues before printing. - Follow all company safety protocols, housekeeping procedures, and operational guidelines. - Assist with finishing processes (cutting, binding, laminating) as needed. - Support workflow improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Qualifications & Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or print production coursework preferred. - Previous experience operating digital printing equipment strongly preferred. - Understanding of color theory, paper stocks, and finishing processes. - Ability to read and interpret job orders, production schedules, and quality standards. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management. - Basic computer skills and familiarity with RIP software (e.g., EFI, Fiery). - Ability to work independently or in a team environment. - Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
