Job Description Job Description Staff Source is looking for a reliable and experienced Lumber Yard Dockworker to join our growing team! The ideal candidate has experience handling lumber, building materials, and outdoor yard operations and can safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks. If you have worked in a lumber yard, building supply yard, warehouse dock, or construction material facility, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: - Operate forklifts to load and unload lumber and building materials - Pull and stage customer orders accurately - Load contractor and delivery trucks safely - Organize lumber inventory in yard and warehouse areas - Assist with receiving incoming shipments - Secure loads and maintain safe material handling practices - Keep the yard and dock areas clean and organized Requirements: - Lifting 50–100 lbs. regularly - 1–3 years forklift experience - Experience in a lumber yard, building materials supply, or warehouse dock - Safely handling long and heavy lumber loads - Familiarity with bundled lumber, plywood, and construction materials - Working outdoors in all weather conditions - Standing, bending, and moving throughout the shift - Accurate reading of a tape measure - Must be able to do math ex.
