Beacon Technologies - Software Solution ArchitectBeacon Technologies is seeking a Software Solution Architect for our client partner. This role offers flexibility to work from home or in-office at one of the following locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110.The position involves collaborating within the division to develop and maintain applications that meet business needs. Responsibilities include designing and developing complex, large-scale business solutions, and providing technical guidance and leadership on specific applications.Requirements

• Hands-on coding experience as a Software Solution Architect.Primary Accountabilities
• Provide expertise during project initiation, including resource estimation, technology selection, proof of concepts, etc.
• Analyze high-level system specifications and business requirements.
• Create detailed system design plans for development teams.
• Identify and understand system dependencies.
• Validate complex design decisions with stakeholders; provide advanced coding expertise to address high-risk features.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, code modules, and performance metrics.
• Participate in testing phases and development walkthroughs.
• Collaborate on system flow, data usage, and process effectiveness to meet requirements.Specialized Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience delivering customer-driven solutions and support.
  • Leadership experience with hands-on development in Java and AWS (GCP or Azure).
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex systems.
  • Strong communication of technical information.
  • Experience developing diverse solution approaches.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for complex software development.
  • Estimating project size and effort.
  • Providing technical guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, infrastructure technologies, and system architecture.Preferred Qualifications
    • 7+ years developing scalable, high-performing enterprise applications.
    • 5+ years in the Payments domain, with knowledge of payment processing and third-party integrations.
    • Expertise in application performance tuning.
    • Familiarity with SDLC practices, including code reviews and CI/CD.
    • Experience in cloud-native designs, especially AWS.
    • Strong Java and Spring Framework skills.
