Job Description:
Cognizant is looking for a Lead Mainframe Developer in
developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected
to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape
for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated
individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought
leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and
technologies.
An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced,
collaborative environment. Someone that values the "team" and
leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver
quality
Summary: The main function of a developer is to develop create and
modify general computer applications utilizing Lead Mainframe
Developer.
Qualification:BS or equivalent.
Responsibility:
Proficient in COBOL coding/debugging
Extensive experience with SAM and VSAM (ESDS KSDS RRDS) files in
COBOL programs
Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in Service Now Incident
resolution
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and handle
multiple tasks
Willingness to work independently or with a team
Provides lead TSA role for development and support of the Tax
Reporting area
Oversee activities of junior Application Developers as applicable
and provide individuals with constructive feedback as it pertains
to team performance
