OPPORTUNITY: Reporting to the Chief People Officer. The People
Business Partner will play a critical role in designing, executing,
and scaling people programs that enhance employee experience,
strengthen manager capability, and drive operational excellence
across the People function. This role has broad accountability
across benefits strategy, people operations, performance
management, and learning & development. You will lead
cross-functional initiatives focused on employee engagement,
manager capability, learning and development, and well-being —
while also managing the strategy and execution of the
organization’s total rewards and benefits programs. This role is
based in Chicago, IL and follows a hybrid work schedule, working

Tuesday and Wednesday’s in the office, remote 3 days a week. WHAT
YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO: Benefits Strategy & Management Lead the
strategy, design, and administration of comprehensive employee
benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life,
disability, retirement, leaves, wellness, and employee assistance
programs. Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and negotiations
to ensure offerings remain competitive, cost-effective, and aligned
with employee needs. Ensure compliance with applicable
benefits-related regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA)
across multiple states. Design and implement communication
strategies to promote and brand benefits offerings, including the
use of intranet, newsletters, webinars, and other internal channels
to drive awareness and engagement. Analyze benefit utilization and
market trends to inform program enhancements and cost containment
strategies. People Operations Oversee and optimize core HR
operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS, and employee
lifecycle processes. Manage HR systems and tools to ensure data
integrity, automation, and scalability. Ensure compliance with
employment laws and internal policies across multiple states.
Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, IT, Finance, and Legal to
align processes and maintain accurate employee data. Lead the
development, governance, and continuous improvement of HR policies,
employee handbooks, and related documentation to ensure alignment
with evolving legal requirements, organizational values, and
strategic workforce objectives. Drive continuous improvement of
people processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and employee
experience, ensuring they are structured for scalability.
Performance Management Oversee and continuously enhance the
performance review cycle—including interim and annual evaluations
and calibration—to promote consistency and fairness throughout the
organization. Partner with leaders and managers to embed a
performance culture focused on continuous feedback, growth, and
accountability. Implement tools and systems (e.g., performance
management software, 360 feedback, manager toolkits) to support
effective performance conversations and tracking. Develop and
deliver training and resources for people managers to build
coaching capabilities and navigate performance discussions. Monitor
and analyze performance data to identify trends, inform talent
decisions, and refine processes over time. Learning & Development
Develop and execute a scalable learning & development strategy that
supports employees at all levels—individual contributors, managers,
and executives. Lead the design, delivery, and continuous
improvement of programs across key learning domains: onboarding,
leadership development, technical skills, management, and soft
skills. Implement a blended learning approach (e.g., live training,
e-learning, coaching, peer learning) using modern tools and
platforms. Develop learning pathways and self-service resources
aligned to roles, career goals, and competencies. WHAT YOU’LL NEED
TO SUCCEED: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business
Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR
certifications (e.g., SPHR, CEBS) a plus. 6 years of progressive HR
experience, including leadership roles in HR operations, benefits,
performance management, and L&D. Proven experience designing
and managing benefits programs, including plan design, vendor
management, compliance, and communication. Strong understanding of
U.S. benefits regulations and best practices. Track record of
building scalable people programs from the ground up including
experience leading L&D or talent development programs at scale.
Excellent communication, project management, and change management
skills. Strong analytical skills and experience using data to
inform decisions. Experience both working with and implementing
modern HR systems (e.g., Workday, UKG, Lattice, Culture Amp, LMS
platforms). Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed, or evolving
environments with the ability to adapt practices proactively to
meet changing needs. Demonstrated ability to manage highly
sensitive and confidential information with professionalism,
