Job Description Job Description North American Concessions in Chicago, IL is looking for a Sushi Chef to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and reliable. - Must have experience, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining cleanliness - Must know how to make traditional sushi, as well as specialty maki rolls -Must be familiar with proper sushi knife cuts as well as both traditional and more modern ways to make maki rolls -Must be familiar with tempura items - Must have open availability for all shifts - Must have a strong work ethic and be reliable -Must have strong communication skills and ability to converse with customers about sushi and other topics -Must have the ability to come up with new rolls and to adjust current menu items as needed for customer preferences We are equal opportunity employer. Experience: - Sushi Chef: 1 years - Compensation is based on experience Work authorization: - United States (Required) - Applicants will be working inside of Midway Airport and will need to pass a federal background check to receive their work badge. Benefits at NorthAmerican Concessions Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and Vision Insurance are offered after employees pass their 90-day probationary period, and if elected, it will begin on the first day of the month following the passage of the probationary period. PTO (Paid Time Off):Employees will receive 80 hours of PTO after accruing a full year of full-time service.Employees are permitted to begin using accrued PTO time after they work a minimum of six (6) months.PTO will increase at the five (5) year mark and at the ten (10) year mark. Paid Sick Time:Employees receive 40 hours of Paid Sick Time per year and they are permitted to start using it after they pass their 90-day probationary period. .
