working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Madison,
Wisconsin, 53792! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care
experience within the last three years in the specialty required.
Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) preferred.
Knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required. Telemetry experience
required. License: Must possess a valid nursing license.
Certifications: BLS and ACLS certification required. Must-Have:
Basic arrhythmia experience is essential. Ability to pass any
required telemetry tests prior to employment. Description: We are
seeking a Registered Nurse to join a Cardiothoracic Surgery and
Transplant team. This role involves providing high-quality care to
patients on an acuity adaptable unit. The nurse will ensure care is
delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive
commitment to meeting patient and family needs. Responsibilities
include caring for patients who have undergone cardiac and thoracic
surgeries. Experience in managing heart and/or lung transplants and
various medical devices is preferred. The unit provides specialized
care, including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve
repair/replacement, and management of complex cardiac patients.
Nurses typically care for 1-2 patients but may care for up to 3
patients during low acuity periods. Strong team collaboration is
essential as staff assignments may change throughout shifts. The
nursing team comprises charge RNs and dedicated resources to
support patient needs during high-demand periods. Continuing
education and competency renewal will be part of the role. This is
