Job Description:

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), you will work closely with Occupational Therapists to help patients develop, recover, improve, as well as maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. OTAs are vital in assisting patients perform exercises as outlined in a treatment plan and use various therapeutic techniques to aid patients with injuries or disabilities to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating the patients' needs and implementing treatment plans. Facilitate effective communication between healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. Educate patients and families about home programs and discharge plans. Maintain records of patient therapy, completing all necessary documentation and billing. Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and cleanliness standards. Handle multiple patients of varying ages and conditions within a specified time frame. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and understanding of patient care. Basic IT skills for managing patient records and documentation.
