• Employment Type: Travel Position: Cath Lab Technician Location: Evanston, IL Shift: AM-3:30PM, weekend required Please note all clinicians at (RNs/TECHs) are required to take OnCall. About 16-18 days on-call per 6 weeks scheduling. Pay: $3200 weekly Contract Duration: 13 weeks with possibility of extension -
  • Assist with procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
  • Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or re---nements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Able to perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards. - - Licensure / Certi---cation / Registration: -
    • BLS Provider, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Any specialty accepted. Radiologic Technologist issued by Radiology Tech licensure issued by the Illinois Emergency Mgmt Agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.
    • High School diploma equivalency with 1-2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job speci---c experience required.
