professional lives. Position Summary: The Senior Scientific
Director within Clinical Development will be involved with the full
scope of the immunology, autoimmune or rare clinical drug
development activities from discovery research through Phase 4
studies. The role must work closely with all members of the
cross-functional asset team, to apply full clinical knowledge to
successfully advance clinical programsResponsibilities:Design
clinical development plans per indication in consultation with
Horizon asset team members, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) that are
aligned with the target product profileDevelop protocols in
collaboration with the clinical trial team functions, KOLs and
CROsDevelop along with biostatistics the primary and secondary
endpoints for efficacy and safety as well as contribute to the
biostatistics analysis plan, and clinical study reports (CSRs)Drive
clinical development components in the writing and data
interpretation of CSRsReview , interpret and present clinical data
to internal and external stakeholdersCo-author and review clinical
sections of regulatory documentsContribute to publication strategy
and content of individual publications, abstracts, and
presentationsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific and
clinical published literatureInteract with KOLs to assure
implementation of latest clinical thinking and guidelines into the
clinical development planProvide input/review study start up
documentations, e.g., CRF designAttend and provide clinical support
for investigator and steering committee meetingsParticipate in due
diligence and business development activities as neededAlways
operate within Compliance GuidelinesQualifications and Skills
Required:PhD, PharmD or other health professional related degrees,
MD preferredTechnical skills: 7 or more years in biopharmaceutical
sponsored clinical research is desirableBiopharmaceutical
experience as a clinical lead across therapeutic areas is desirable
Solid understanding of relevant areas such as biostatistics,
regulatory, clinical pharmacology, pre-clinical toxicology
approachesAbility to analyze and interpret complex
datasetsExercises initiative in meeting goals and drives innovation
in projectsProficient in Microsoft OfficeProfessional, proactive
demeanorStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal
communication skillsNon-standard work schedule, Travel or
