Job Description SummaryResponsible for coordinating and supervising the daily activities of a support team responsible for the project and program management function (non-technology). Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion. Supervises the planning and monitoring of internal non-technical projects from initiation through completion. Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes. Manages projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs. May be concerned with clearly identifiable elements or functions within a larger project. Coordinates work activities with other managers. Work is guided by policies, procedures and the local business plan. Reviews and evaluates the work of others and applies leadership in day-to-day activities of the team. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders. This division is going through substantial growth, with corporate initiatives to hire and retain top talent driving excellence and technological growth for the company.We are looking for a junior leader, eager to grow their responsibilities for delivering and managing various initiatives across divisions within IT. He or She will have to work closely with Program/ Project Management, Architecture & Engineering, Security, Applications and Client executives across various Business units.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1) Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively2) Lead cross-functional teams to implement IT Security requirements for applications supporting various Business units3) Work across the GBS organizations including teams responsible for project and program management, solution architecture, design and development, quality assurance and production support4) Lead and manage continuous improvement planning deliverables Design, Develop and Maintain a detailed work breakdown of tasks to be accomplished for the initiative and ensured that tasks are getting accomplished on time and within budget5) Create an effective communication plan covering various stakeholders across GBS and Business units6) Ensure that solutions are being delivered are per standards of availability, scalability, and security point of view and that are done on time with highest quality7) Ensure that standards and guidelines are created for all aspects of systems requirements8) Ensure that all delivery artifacts are reviewed and are according to the standards and guidelines9) Ensure that SLAs are being met for services Provide support and maintenance for the services being offered to the business and the environments in which they are offered10) Understand the use of industry tools / technology & their impact on project & operational goals Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place11) Represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative12) Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation13) A strong passion for innovation and creative problem-solvingJob Qualification: -Education:Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology, or related field.Preferred: Master's Degree in Computer Science or MBA.Experience:Preferred a minimum 8+ years broad experience in:1) Experience in working with Systems Requirements, Project and Program Management, Design and Delivery, Quality Assurance, and Infrastructure Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills and experience2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience including presentations to senior management, peer groups and associates Understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures3) Demonstrated experience in mentoring, training, coaching, performance feedback, regular evaluation Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.4) Demonstrated project management and planning skills and experience Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures5) Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting, and making verbal and written presentations6) Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners7) Demonstrated budget tracking and forecasting skills and experience with on-time on-budget delivery skills8) Practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts9) Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment demonstrating strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment
