This role has primary responsibility for broad financial support of all planning, forecasting and actual reporting activities related to Procurement. The role will be responsible for implementing Lean and starting up with a Lean approach through the continuous improvement teams interactions across Baxter. The role will get exposure to cross-functional leadership and people development, network strategy, operational excellence, materials planning, contract negotiation and material forecasting. This position is also a core member of the Procurement and Finance Operations leadership teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial, procurement, and material forecasting reporting and processes - all aligned with global processes and functions
• Integrate with global processes and systems, to ensure operational excellence within the procurement function
• Provide a financial / business perspective on a broad range of issues as a member of the Procurement and Operations Finance leadership teams
• Attract, mentor, develop and retain a diverse and versatile team of financial and procurement professionals to assure continuity of expertise and the growth and development of individual employees
• Provides financial mentorship/oversight to Procurement operations and functions on policies, procedures, controls and the procurement of goods and services
• Ensures appropriate maintenance of financial controls and documentation
• Support the procurement of materials through leading a team of procurement associates to ensure smooth supply of all required materials while balancing with costs and working capital investments.
• Identification of high-risk materials and suppliers to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation plans
• Work to identify and implement procurement saving opportunities including supply source changes and alternate materials.
• Act as the Finance leader for Procurement separation activities, including but not limited, to cost structure analysis of Procurement function for both companies, supplier leverage/deleverage analysis, thought partner to CPO to org design
• Leader in Procurement financial analytics and the implementation of monthly material forecasting in support if accurate and timely business planning & forecasting processes
• Provide Information to assess performance, drive improvement, enhance decision-making, business literacy and periodic forecastsQualifications:
  • Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse team members; proven track record to lead multiple, challenging priorities.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting.
  • Skilled at assembling and managing both ongoing staff as well as cross-functional teams as required.
  • Decisive leadership, with ability to generate ideas, develop alternatives, rapidly decide upon the best course of action and drive implementation of that decision.Education and/or Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree, preferable in Accounting, Finance or related field
    • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications
    • 10 or more years of experience.We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. To that end, this position has a salary range of$168,000to$252,0000and also includes an annual incentive bonus and equity target (strike if not applicable). The above range represents the expected salary range for this position.
