Director of Facilities Management ( Job Number: MAI0100LF ) Primary
Location Other Locations JOB SUMMARY Provide leadership to
Corporate and Field locations with overall maintenance and security
initiatives and ongoing work. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Provide
day-to-day leadership of facilities department including all
building systems, safety and security, space planning, grounds
maintenance, EHS support, reception, other corporate services and
project management. Develop and maintain long-range plans,
strategies, policies and procedures, KPIs and metrics. Manage
relationships with internal and external customers and business
partners. Ensure compliance with all standards including customer
service, vendor relationships, and department collaboration. Review
all vendor agreements to ensure competitive bidding and value added
negotiation. Work with consultant services, contractors, and public
entities such as utilities and fire to identify, plan and monitor
all scope aspects of project work. - Manage projects from beginning
to end to ensure project is on time and within budget and meets or
exceeds best in class standards. Analyze overall Maintenance
performance trends including equipment reliability, maintenance
expenses and productivity. Evaluate effectiveness of preventive
maintenance programs and make adjustments to ensure highest levels
of uptime and optimized maintenance cost. Develop and maintain
capital and operating expense plans. Manage team and projects in
accordance with defined objectives. Provide a high degree of
customer service to internal business partners across all corporate
services. - Accountable for productivity and outcomes of contracted
site Maintenance and Facilities teams. Management responsibilities
include : -
--Lead multiple corporate service teams across various locations.
--Develop and mentor staff through onboarding, open communication,
training and development and performance management processes.
Build and maintain employee morale and motivation. Ensure teams are
appropriately staffed with required competencies. --Strategic,
tactical and operational planning (12 + months) for the function or
department
--Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop,
recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing
policies
--Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance
reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel
needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and
ensuring consistent application of organizational policies MINIMUM
JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Work Experience At least 7 years of
general maintenance experience with at least 4 years of experience
managing multiple locations and diverse teams. Knowledge / Skills /
Abilities Broad knowledge of building systems, CAD, space planning
and furniture systems. Highly organized and detailed oriented
demonstrated through time management and project management skills.
Strong ability to lead and direct a technical team with excellent
communications and interpersonal skills. Problem solving
capability. Position may require work on weekends or other hours
outside of regularly scheduled work hours as business needs
