professional lives. Position SummaryThe Associate Director,
Portfolio Analytics is responsible for initiatives covering
multiple brands, including executive-level reporting, developing
advanced QC systems, standardizing KPIs across brands, and
implementing portfolio level analytics such as promotional
effectiveness and targeting optimization. This role will partner
with cross-functional teams and brand analytics on portfolio-level
analytic initiatives to inform cross-portfolio strategy and
tactics, support ongoing and planned strategy, and maximize
pull-through effectiveness.Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment between Brand Analytics, Market Access &
Patient Services Analytics, Data Science, Data Infrastructure, and
Commercial Operations when gathering, prioritizing, delivering, and
maintaining portfolio-level analytics deliverables
- Develop and enhance reporting QC systems, proactively flags
errors through input checks, business sense/seasonality checks,
report comparisons, and statistical deviation checks
- Assess business process effectiveness of portfolio by analyzing
baseline performance data (e.g., KPIs) at national and in local
market levels to drive brand performance and identify improvement
opportunities
- Identify business requirements for portfolio performance
dashboards and control charts as necessary to monitor portfolio
process performance
- Collaborate with Data Science team to create and maintain
portfolio resource allocation, speaker program ROIs, promotional
effectiveness, and targeting standardization
- Support executive stakeholder requests requiring a consultative
and resourceful approach clearly articulates business issue and
develops effective recommendations across portfolio Qualifications
and Skills Required
- B.A. or B.S. Degree required; MBA or other advanced degree
preferred
- 10+ years of related experience in the pharmaceutical, medical
device, or biotech industry, including significant buy and bill
product experience
- 5+ years of related experience in healthcare analytics is
critical, preferably in Forecasting, Portfolio Analytics, Brand
Analytics, Advanced Analytics, etc.
- 5+ years of pharma Forecasting experience; Portfolio analytics
experience is a plus
- Specialty, infusible and/or rare disease experience
preferred
- Recent launch experience and entry into new therapeutic areas
strongly preferred
- Strong understanding and experience with pharmaceutical
(including specialty, claims, hub) data sets, analytical
approaches, research methods and ability to present results to key
stakeholders
- Familiarity with data reporting and visualization tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the
ability to translate complex reports and analyses into easy to
understand presentations; proven ability to effectively present
results to internal clients at the executive level
- Business Acumen - ability to link multiple insights across
brands and channels to generate insights, prioritize business
questions and develop effective recommendations
- Proven record of success in working with cross-functional teams
(e.g., managed markets, pricing, analytics, sales, marketing) ;
demonstrated ability to successfully influence multiple levels of
an organization, both internally and externally
- Strong attention to detail combined with a keen ability to
recognize issues in the context of higher-level policies and
regulations
- Strong leadership, planning and organization, analytics,
decision-making and problem-solving skills; focus on delivery of
results
- Strong interpersonal and peer leadership skills to influence
without authority; ability to work cross-functionally in a highly
dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency
- Self-starter who functions well both independently and within a
team
- Experience successfully managing budgets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent presentation and
power point skills
