professional lives. Position SummaryThe Senior Manager is
responsible for supporting the Market Access and Patient Services
training team within Horizon's Commercial Training and Development
function. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive
training to the patient services personnel and identifying training
needs and gaps of the team. The Senior Manager will work closely to
collaborate on various projects with several cross-functional teams
including marketing, medical affairs, market access, sales
training, site of care, analytics, compliance and other internal
home office colleagues. The Senior Training Manager's overall Role
Accomplishment is to contribute to: Competent and motivated Market
Access representatives, through the effective identification of
learning needs, content development, and facilitation that
accelerates skill acquisition and market knowledge. Reporting to
the Director, Market Access Training, this primary result will be
achieved through the training of New Hire and Advanced learners,
the development of training content, projects, and tactical plans
that support business imperatives, the fostering of enterprise-wide
and inter-departmental networks, and the sustainment of a
high-performing Commercial Training and Development culture. While
the Market Access Senior Manager's focus is on the administrative
components, clinical competence, and tactical processes associated
with training delivery, the Senior Training Manager understands and
elevates both their influence and impact. ResponsibilitiesNew Hire
and Advanced Learners Equipped with Training, Assets, and Tools to
Support High Performance and Continued Skill Development
- Enroll and influence Managers so concepts learned in training
continue to resonate, are reinforced, and continuously refined,
further increasing training impact
- Lead and facilitate the formal New Market Access Training
on-boarding process
- Support enterprise-wide training initiatives and programs,
including Advanced Training, National Sales Meetings (NSMs) and
Plan of Action (PoA) meetings which serve to progressively build
and sustain skill acquisition
- Facilitate "Just-in-Time" emergent training on new processes
and market access resources
- Engage in Field Experience/Ride-Alongs with the intent to coach
and reinforce skills learned in training, model "what good looks
like," and gain data to inform the training feedback loop and
future training interventions
- Create assessment and evaluation criteria to ensure training
objectives are achieved
- Deploy training surveys
- Work with Associate Director and Director to determine
sustainment path and "pull-through" opportunities
- Mentor new Training Managers Training Content, Projects, and
Tactical Plans to Support Business Imperatives
- Inventory and communicate training strengths and topical
interests (e.g., patient engagement, healthcare landscape, business
acumen, relationship building skills, etc.) that can be leveraged
across Market Access
- Align with Market Access SMEs and leaders seeking to adding
value
- Proactively identify needs from the field and/or partners
- Map learning objectives and outcomes
- Initiate, build, own, and iterate (with Director and Associate
Director input) a well-thought-out project plan (hard copy),
documenting agreed-upon tactics, accountabilities, and timelines,
working backward from delivery deadline
- Manage and allocate appropriate resources
- Work with content vendors to ensure content aligns to learning
objectives and quality standards
- Manage Promotional Review Committee (PRC) approval process for
assigned projects Enterprise-wide and Inter-department networks
- Identify and establish rapport with Horizon colleagues within
relevant business functions, noting influencers and connections
between functions
- Maintain a cadence of regular, intentional, proactive
communication touchpoints to provide and receive updates
- Develop strong relationships and communicate with executive
presence
- Leverage opportunities to expand your network (e.g., new hire
dinners, after-work events etc.)
- Create opportunities to enroll others in your efforts
- Create and maintain external strategic partnerships (e.g.,
industry thought leaders, vendors, professional conference
affiliations) Sustainment of a High-Performing Commercial Training
and Development Culture

improvement Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical
industry required.
- Previous experience in market access related areas
preferred
- Minimum 2 year of experience in training (headquarter or
field-based)
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple
demands with a high level of initiative and independence
required
- Ability and willingness to travel to sales meetings, etc.
including some overnight and weekend commitments (> 25%)
required
- Experience in content development and instructional design a
plus
- Experience working with learning management systems (LMS)
preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Professional, proactive demeanor
