You will develop skills in managing customer relationships by developing rapport with key stakeholders at all levels of the customer organization.BUSINESS CHALLENGE/INTERN RESPONSIBILITIESThe MBA intern will have the opportunity to lead two key projects:

• Conduct a home-use market assessment, including current landscape, competitive comparison, test profile requirements and recommendations for the highest-growing product portfolio within the business. As the healthcare paradigm shifts to home applications allowing increased accessibility and alleviating the burden of care within the acute care setting, you will be driving the exploration of an exciting new market opportunity for BD, and this assessment will shape BD's strategy development.
• Customer experience evaluation across Specimen Acquisition and Lab Specimen Management Platforms with a focus in the U.S, including sales process mapping, stakeholder (Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) interviews, considerations for improvements. The core of everything Marketing does lies with the experience of our customers. By evaluating the customer experience, you will be instrumental in guiding the future of marketing strategy, as well as develop an understanding of how our customers interact with BD.Throughout this process, the MBA intern will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, and Medical Affairs and will experience firsthand how the US and Global Marketing organizations operate and drive outcomes for the business. This assignment will also provide the MBA intern with the opportunity to learn about other BD businesses while trying to identify any cross-divisional growth opportunities. Additionally, this position will have tremendous exposure to commercial integration, global/US marketing, and business leadership while providing a broad view of BD and our key customers.QUALIFICATIONS/AREAS OF FOCUS
  • Rising 2nd year MBA student at time of internship (Anticipated graduation of 2024)
  • Experience or knowledge in the healthcare field is preferred
  • Emphasis in customer engagement strategies and/or product lifecycle management principles a plus
  • Ability to work the full duration of the 10-12-week internship
  • Some positions may also require a technical degree and/or experience in medical device, pharmaceuticals, or health care

    Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as to support recognition of associates' progress, ranging from entry level to experts in their field, and talent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that contribute to the range displayed. The salary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual work location. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.SALARY RANGE INFORMATION$109,600.00 - $180,900.00
