Our client which is a small CPA firm is looking to bring on a DIRECTOR OF TAX.About the Company and Opportunity:--- Our client is a small full-service accounting and tax company, which specialize in small businesses in a variety of industries plus an expansive individual tax consultation. --- Located in the Northern suburbs--- This individual will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities including but not limited to, the preparation of Federal and State tax returns, local government filings and other tax related functions as required. In addition, this position will be required to prepare local tax returns, business licenses, personal property tax returns, and annual reports. --- What is great about this this accounting firms is they truly believe in work/life balance. Offer extremely flexible hours, regular season work 4 days a week with Friday off. During tax season work 6 days a week, no overtime. --- They offer excellent benefits, including 401K match, and healthcare Overview of the Director of Tax:--- Prepare or assist with the Federal and State income tax filings, primarily 1040, 1120S and 1065s --- Project taxable income, on an as needed basis, for the above-mentioned entities. --- Assess State income tax requirement for entities--- Other duties as assigned.Preferred Qualifications for the Director of Tax:--- A bachelor's degree in accounting required. --- A minimum of 10 years of tax experience required, with Federal tax compliance experience. --- Experience working from Public Accounting firm a plus.--- CPA.--- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively. --- Must be a team player and willing to accept a variety of tasks associated with this position. --- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Experience with CCH Access is a plus. --- Communication - Able to clearly express ideas; present verbal information in a straightforward manner; ask questions in order to open channels of communication; listen to understand perspective of others.CB2
