Job Summary
Oversees the management and delivery of strategic project
portfolios. Projects may involve participation from and have impact
on multiple functions within or across divisions and have a
substantial impact on the corporation/division. Budget
responsibilities are based on project requirements. Responsible for
developing processes to support quality and compliance while
ensuring the organization's ability to deliver against strategic
plans. Collaborates with stakeholders to establish consensus on
project goals, objectives, schedules, and deliverables.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides consultation and manages complex or executive level
projects. Prepares ad hoc analysis, progress, and results to
leadership teams.
- Oversees the management and reporting of a portfolio of
programs and projects within Centralized Services; provides
insights to management regarding program progress, resource needs,
and risks to assist with long-range planning efforts.
- Manages the scope and impact of various project requirements in
the team to ensure realistic expectations for the team and
stakeholders.
- Manages a project plan that involves a large number (more than
20) of team members.
- Advises on escalated problems/needs and provide solutions
involving substantial latitude (judgement/decision making skills)
in course of action.
- Directs the activities of project teams through other project
and/or program managers. Organizes project teams by identifying
areas of needed expertise and required skills. Directs the
activities of Centralized Services' project teams to ensure quality
and timeliness of project completion.
- Prioritizes various project requests. Identifies and includes
internal and external stakeholder's necessary for project
completion.
- Designs presentations and dashboards and communicates project
progress to various audiences and facilitate project-related
meetings including executive management.
- Leads the planning, design and implementation of the Portfolio
management process and tools. May contribute to performance

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of project management
experience OR High School/GED and at least 7 years of project
management experience
- Experience applying / executing project management
methodologies and practices including developing a project plan,
charter, scope, project management approach and management plans,
such as the statement of work, cost estimates, schedule, etc.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams and indirectly
managing teams across business units.
- Experience with portfolio and demand management.
- Experience utilizing project management software and other
standard project management scheduling tools, such as MS Project
and Planview, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial
decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership
and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes
(within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified in Project Management (PMP) as granted by PMI.
- Experience negotiating with outside vendors, including
negotiating contracts, prices, resolving service issues and
reconciling differences.
- Experience driving resolution of project conflicts within a
team.
- Knowledge of business practices as related to project specialty
area, such as IT, HR, eCommerce, etc.
- Knowledge of project management financials.
- Experience working with strategic planning initiatives.
