Job Description Summary:
The Director, Healthcare Economics Outcomes Research is passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients and their outcomes using data analytics. The Director leads understanding across the organization and external parties towards progress around Option Care Health's Clinical Way Forward, using data analytics and clinical outcomes research. The Director is responsible for partnering with the Clinical Services Organization, Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A), and the providers across Option Care Health to guide the success around improved patient outcomes, patient safety and the patient experience. S/he will directly lead staff and grow the department in size and capability. Job Description: ---

Job Responsibilities:
Leads Clinical Data Stewardship Initiatives.
Leads Data Collection of appropriate data elements, creating those required to measure and impact outcomes.
Partners with BI&A to analyze internal and external data to demonstrate progress towards patient initiatives or identify additional data capture and clinical interventions that are likely to make a difference.
Development Key Performance Indicators and associated tools to communicate progress towards stated objectives.
Takes Personal Accountability for Success and Leads the Way Despite Obstacles.
Publishes Data in Peer Reviewed Journals Relevant to Option Care Health's Clinical Program.
Generates and presents data relevant to the Payor community and external healthcare partners demonstrative of Option Care Health's clinical value.
Oversees initial and ongoing recruitment, training, performance review and development of employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? - YES
(i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.)

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements :
Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD) degree in healthcare
5+ years of demonstrated ability conducting pharmacoeconomic, health policy, health program evaluation or health services research
5 years of experience working with managed care
5 years of experience as a healthcare leader in the healthcare industry
Basic Qualifications & Interests :
Experience in design of clinical studies with Clinical Outcome, Health Economic endpoints
Experience in the analysis of US healthcare claims databases and/or EHR/EMR
Experience in economic model development to assess the value of medical products and services
Stellar Leadership skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Superior presentation skills, displaying confidence and knowledge of all Option Care services in daily interactions with the community at large
Strong problem-solving and reporting skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Travel Requirements :
30%
Preferred Qualifications & Interests :
Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD) in related field and experience conducting Clinical Outcome, Health Economic research (Related fields include Health Services Research, Health Economics/Economics, Health Outcomes, Reimbursement and Access.
