**Job Description:** **Job Summary** Supports the creation of overall procurement operations strategy and leads the development and implementation of robust procurement policies, processes and tools that contribute significant value to the overall performance of Group Procurement function. Establishes procurement processes that will enable the driving of the right balance between costs and quality of all non-resale products and services across the Group. Processes will help ensure that the team always delivers value for money for cross functional business stakeholders in the most efficient manner. **Job Responsibilities** + Responsible for the development of strategy to deliver procurement analytics and insights across Group Procurement. Creates a strategy for procurement procedures, processes and tools across Walgreens. Ensures integration of procurement procedures into Group Procurement category and contract strategies. + Creates strategies around tools and guidelines to improve access to procurement processes, analytics and insight across Group Procurement and wider Group. Provides thought leadership to Group Procurement colleagues to develop robust category strategies by sharing industry best practices and acting as a consultant. + Acts as a Procurement systems owner and develops a robust P2P system strategy to drive compliance and efficiency across Walgreens for goods not for resale. + Identifies procurement process control and governance risks. Develops and implements strategies to reduce and mitigate risks associated with Procurement processes. Partners with Internal Audit, Compliance and Diversity teams to ensure strategy alignment and execution plans. + Manages 3rd party analytic, data and system providers, ensuring suppliers meet performance levels and continue to develop service utilising best practices. + Establishes performance reporting methodologies and procedures. Responsible for the accuracy, quality, insight and timeliness of Group Procurement performance reporting across Operational Procurement, Procurement Development and Category Teams. + Identifies procurement best practices identifies appropriateness and implementation methodology, implemented ensuring that these are implemented within Walgreens and shared Group-wide.. Cultivates best practice and procurement analytics services across global procurement teams, using technical knowledge applied to meet local needs. + Responsible for defining the tools and methodologies utilized by the Procurement Development team in gathering market and supply-base insights, and market and technology trends across the US. Presents insights and acts as a subject matter expert in the development process of category strategies. + Proactively seeks new opportunities to add value, through a deep understanding of procurement practices, economics, market, and technology trends.
