Controls Technician in the Manufacturing & Distribution industry in
Bolingbrook, IL! Salary: $100K-$125K (based on experience) Shift:
2nd: Monday - Friday: 3pm-11pm Location: Bolingbrook, IL Benefits:

role supports a highly automated operation focused on system
reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. The Automation
Controls Technician plays a key role in maintaining uptime and
improving equipment performance across the facility. Job
Responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled
automation systems supporting production and material flow Diagnose
and resolve issues within conveyor systems, automated equipment,
and control panels Perform PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley /
Rockwell preferred) and support minor logic adjustments when needed
Support HMI interfaces and operator control systems Troubleshoot
motors, VFDs, sensors, photo eyes, encoders, and related electrical
components Assist with industrial network troubleshooting
(Ethernet/IP and related protocols) Partner with Maintenance and
Operations to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement
initiatives Support equipment upgrades, commissioning, and process
improvements Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and system
changes Qualifications 3 years of experience in automation,
controls, & electrical maintenance in a manufacturing or
distribution environment Experience troubleshooting PLC systems
Strong understanding of electrical systems (24V–480V, single &
three-phase) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
and wiring diagrams Experience with automated conveyors or
high-speed production systems preferred Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
