Able to measure and apply fundamentals of electricity to determine
wiring or component issues and recommend fixes. • Fully adheres to
LOTO requirements • Able to investigate, sort course of action
based on probability, and apply past experiences to filter
solutions. • Has awareness of time invested in an issue and seeks
advice before progress is stalled. • Implements permanent solutions
leaving the final product professional and complete. • Accurately
captures red lines and follows through with update procedures. •
Able to describe findings and solution to non-technical team
members. Electrical Design • Familiarity and able to work with
national and international standards like NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, UL
508A. • Knowledgeable in AutoCAD Electrical. Able to maintain
libraries and parts databases. Able to maintain symbol libraries. •
Knowledgeable in EPLAN. Able to maintain libraries and parts
databases. Able to maintain symbol libraries. • Identifies and
redeploys intellectual property • Able to read and navigate
mechanical layouts in ACAD and SolidWorks • Contributes to
development of Safety Risk Assessments, applies Safety Functions
that meet performance requirements, and able to verify with
SYSTEMA. • Produce engineering drawings describing SCCR
calculations. • Design and document feeder and branch circuits in
accordance with UL. • Design of industrial networks that conforming
to guidance set by their respective governing organization. •
Taylor electrical design to solve performance requirements while
balancing contractual constraints with our Wes-Tech standards. •
Calculate and design to environmental conditions such as ambient
heat, ingress requirements, and varying factory voltage supplies. •
Familiar with the hardware and software being designed, able to
implement the technology to its fullest. • Support applications
with control design solutions and support cost estimates. •
Research, select, or apply sensors, communication technologies, or
control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure
sensing, or electronic communication. Software Design • Understands
what the end user is looking for before writing code then governs
decisions along the way in order to achieve them. • Responsible for
configuration of local and remote IO and assures updates rates are
sufficient for machine process demands. • Works with Mechanical
Engineers in determining sensor usage assuring the control system
has good and reliable information. • Responsible for inter machine
interfacing and working with external sources to assure proper
signaling. • Program the automated tasks required of our equipment
to satisfy the project contract. • Programs to assure machine
actions and/or the environment meet expectations at each step of
the process. Includes logic to handle undesirable conditions or
alarm indicating the problem. • Writes interlocks restricting the
machine from damaging themselves. • Writes fault tolerant or
recoverable data transactions. • Considers all failure modes and
includes a resulting programmed response or alarm. • Assures
logical safety systems meet the required Performance Levels •
Documents and describes their intentions in software. • Creates
user interfaces that are easy to read and easy to navigate. •
Produces minimal rework, deploys iterative development styles where
necessary. • Able to simplify complex operation through
organization, strategy. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent
position based out of BUFFALO GROVE, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay
range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Eligibility
requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to
