Job Description Job Description BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Electro Mechanic I in Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007 Job Title: Electro Mechanic I Location: Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007 Duration: 4 Months (Temp to Perm) Anticipated Start Date: ASAP (Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.) Job Type: Contract Pay Range: $40/hr-$41/hr (Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Understand and follow plant safety rules including LOTO and safe machine operation. Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications and technical data. Ability to work on motors, contractors and relays with a multimeter to verify component functionality. Replacing 400 HP blowers , 100 PSI compressors, Ability to work on advanced shop equipment such as bandsaws, mills and lathes. Must be able to work on Chillers, Process pumps, compressors, ink pumps and Glue pumps. Analyze and resolve all mechanical, electrical issues related to the equipment. Demonstrate solid knowledge of electrical controls/PLCs including troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems. Responsible for maintaining all manufacturing process equipment by performing preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine repairs and calibration with minimal down time. Perform all duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner. Diagnose root cause of problems with production equipment to determine best solution: electrical or mechanical. Document parts used, and repairs completed in the CMMS. Assist in maintaining appropriate stock of spare parts and parts room is organized. Perform necessary repairs, preventative maintenance and predictive maintenance on plant production equipment and facilities equipment. Participate in Toppan's Global Performance System (GPS) activities as required – 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, Near Misses, etc. Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are required and expected for job performance. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required. Ensure proper and safe operational conditions of all production and related equipment. Other duties as assigned. Skills Requirements: Mechanical experience in medium/heavy machinery You have experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment Industry experience preferred, functioning knowledge of Blown films, sheet extruders, Flexographic printing, lamination, slitting. Ancillary Equipment (associated to flexible packaging). Replacing 400 HP blowers , 100 PSI compressors Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls a plus Ability to operate a Forklift Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs Working independently and managing multiple tasks in an off shift position with rotating shifts that will require overtime including weekends Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
