Join us! Job DescriptionLanzaJet is looking for a highly organized
Project Engineer to assist project teams to support the
construction of the Freedom Pines Fuels refining site. Youll walk
through the key steps of successful project management including
initiation, planning, control, monitoring, execution, and closeout
of projects. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a key interface for
technical issues with customers, detail design subcontractors,
fabricators, construction and site contractors, and internal
discipline teamAccountable for leading multi-discipline engineering
and design team to execute projects as a focal point for project
design review meetings, 3D model reviews, constructability reviews,
and project closeoutsDevelop complete understanding the project
specifications, various technical requirements, and customer
specifications and ensure their integration into the development of
the detail designLead the development of the detail design for
projects working with internal and external multi-discipline
project teamsCoordinate procurement activities for process
equipment such as process modules, pressure vessels, rotating
machinery, instrumentation, etc. and engineering services such as
engineering, design, fabrication, construction, inspection &
testing, etc. Manage the module fabrication process and develop and
maintain relationships with the fabricators to deliver equipment on
time and within budgetAssist project management with site
materials, construction activities, change management, and schedule
reviews Identify opportunities to improve quality and productivity
in engineering, while minimizing change orders in detail design,
fabrication, and construction phasesCreate and manage project
quality plans and checklistsAssist Project Manager for overseeing
engineering and design budgets, project forecasts, engineering
schedules, and design quantities Coordinate document submittals
to/from customer, vendors, detail design subcontractor,
fabricators, and construction subcontractorLead weekly meetings
with the discipline engineering team members, vendors, detail
design subcontractor, fabricators, and construction subcontractor
to monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical
issuesResponsible for the assembly and issuance of project data
books Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced team
members Support development of work processes, procedures, tools,
and templates for project managemenRequirements
Bachelors degree in Chemical /
Mechanical / Structural Engineering from an accredited
programMinimum 5 years of experience in Project Engineering or
Project Management in Engineering environmentSpecific experience
with Engineering EPCs, design and construction of process plants,
modularization of systems design is preferredProject Controls
experience is a plusStrong organizational and follow-up skills and
the ability to track long and short-term projects for the LanzaJet
teamExcellent verbal and written communication skills and strong
problem-solving and analytical skills.Team player that thrives in a
