Job Description - Desktop Support Engineer Job Summary Currently
seeking a Desktop Support Engineer who is looking to take control

him.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS You are responsible for ensuring that
system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are
monitored to optimize reliability and accordingly. This will be a
mix of remote work and face-to-face client interaction.Typical
Duties and Responsibilities Tier 1 and 2 ticketing support,
sometimes on-site Proactive maintenance, monitoring, documentation,
and testing of client network environments through a combination of
scheduled onsite and remote work utilizing necessary independent
judgment and discretion Perform desktop and network diagnostics,
maintenance and repairs, including updates to applications and the
O/S Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and
availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key
processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying
completion of scheduled jobs such as backups Apply OS patches and
upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and
utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary - coordinate
and communicate with impacted constituencies. Develop and maintain
installation and configuration procedures and system standards
Develop subject matter expertise to diagnose and remedy application
and end user issues as needed or upon request; expected to
contribute to peer training activities Provide escalation support
to diagnose and troubleshoot issues escalated by clients or other
members of our team Professionally document all work performed and
submit accurate, detailed timesheet on a weekly basis Participate
in the on-call rotation which may include after-hours onsite
support Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of
experience in IT Support Associate's Degree or equivalent
experience preferred, Bachelor's would be ideal Strong experience
with Office 365 Experience with Google Applications Understanding
of and practical deployment experience of protocols and networking
services Knowledge of deploying and supporting Microsoft Office
applications Understanding of and practical administration
experience in Microsoft Exchange Understanding of and practical
installation and administration experience of Backup and disaster
recovery processes, software and hardware Basic understanding of
and practical administration experience in Virtualized environments
Must thrive in a self-directed environment, capable to prioritize
tasks on your own and be a strong troubleshooter and problem
