equivalent practical experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
or Chartered Accountant (CA). 14 years of experience in accounting
or a related function, or 12 years with an advanced degree in
accounting, business, or finance. Experience building, developing,
or leading a team. Experience with revenue recognition and ASC 606
guidelines. Preferred qualifications: Experience with working in a
technical accounting or a related role at the Securities and
Exchange Commission (SEC) or Financial Accounting Standards Board
(FASB). Ability to have a collaborative style and work with
cross-functional and international teams. Ability to sponsor and
oversee the management of a portfolio of projects and programs.
Excellent communication and project management skills, with the

advisor to the business. The US base salary range for this
full-time position is $205,000-$285,000 bonus equity benefits. Our
salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within
the range, individual pay is determined by work location and
additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and

Responsibilities Lead all US Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) areas, including but not limited to business
growth recognition, software development cost capitalization
including for AI, lease accounting, and contingencies and
commitments. Architect influential policies and technical memos,
actively shaping the future of accounting standards by drafting
comment letters to standard setters. Lead the implementation of new
U.S. GAAP accounting standards, collaborating with cross-functional
stakeholders to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
Implement and maintain accounting policies and technical memos that
drive consistency and provide influential guidance across Google
and Alphabet’s product areas.
