Job Description:

We are looking for a Business Unit Controller to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provide timely and accurate financial analysis to support decision-making processes for the business unit
  
• Work closely with business unit leadership to develop and manage budgets and forecasts
  
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and strategic planning
  
• Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to track business unit performance and identify areas for improvement
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements
  
• Identify and manage financial risks for the business unit, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks
  
• Manage the month-end close process for the business unit, including preparation and analysis of financial statements
  
• Provide leadership and direction to the finance team supporting the business unit, including hiring, training, and performance management
  
• Collaborate with other finance and accounting teams within the company to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial reporting
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy
  
  Qualifications:
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
    
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred
    
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, including experience managing a team
    
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial reporting systems
    
  • Strong leadership and management skills
