Senior Accountant performs complex accounting transactions to
maintain the consolidated financial statements for LanzaJet and
related entities. Participates in the month-end accounting close
process and ensures LanzaJet adheres with generally accepted
accounting principles and SOX. The position requires the ability to
analyze, record and communicate business results, with an emphasis
on accuracy and completeness and driving projects and issues to
resolution.ResponsibilitiesWork with Controller to ensure an
accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close in
accordance with generally accepted accounting principlesPrepare
monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and
reconciliationsMaintain intercompany transactions and related
company allocations for multiple entitiesManage fixed asset
additions, depreciation, and disposal activity within the
consolidated fixed asset sub-ledgerAssist in invoicing customers
for fuel and other related transactionsManage inventory ledgers and
support plant management to ensure adequate inventory and cost
controls at the plant levelPrepare consolidated financial reporting
to present to management and investorsCollaborate with team to
prepare month-end close deck and relevant management
reportingAnalyze and effectively communicate the financial
performance of the consolidated entity and operating divisions in
comparison to forecasted amountsCollaborate with tax accountants
and Controller to ensure accurate and timely tax filingsPrepare
policies and procedures related to job function and monitor and
execute proper internal controls to ensure compliance with
company-wide standardsSupport internal and external financial
auditsParticipate in the financial forecasting process with
FP&A and cost controlsPerform other analytical, accounting, and
operational support assignments as directedRequirementsBachelor's
Degree in Accounting3-5+ years of relevant professional
experienceUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP, budgeting, and financial
analysisCost accounting and international accounting experience
both a plusProficient MS Office with advanced Microsoft Excel
skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience
using BI reporting toolsGood time management skills and ability to
juggle and meet multiple critical deadlines and adapt to changing
circumstancesAbility to identify and discuss issues and present
workable solutions in a simple, meaningful, and focused manner with
all levels of the team and clientsPreferred RequirementsCPA, CFA or
related certification preferredPrior public accounting experience
