Job Description Summary:
We are currently looking for a Senior Level Assistant Manager, to join our dynamic team and work alongside the General Manager. The position is responsible for managing the asset operations by fulfilling the objectives of ownership.

Position Reports to:
General Manager

Work Environment:
Professional office, Deerfield, IL

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Illinois Broker's License or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

General:
3-5 years of commercial property or commercial building management experience.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Administrative:

General knowledge of property management software MRI, Angus, Avid, Adobe, Microsoft Office, Outlook or similar.
Ability to read and abstract a lease and make changes to the Rent Roll.
Maintain the electronic filing system
Possess excellent organizational skills

Financial/ Reporting:

Financial acumen, general knowledge of cash and accrual accounting principles, ability to read financial statements.
Assist in developing and managing the annual budgets/reforecasts/ CAM and RET reconciliations for the assigned asset(s).
Process invoices, tenant bill backs.
Manage collection of accounts receivable and operating expenses.
Prepare monthly reports, accruals, narrative, misc. reports as needed.

Tenant Related:

Manage tenant move-in process to ensure complete tenant satisfaction.
Visit tenants regularly and maintain a positive, productive, and professional relationships.
Manage smaller construction and special projects.
Regularly inspect the property including the grounds to ensure that the appearance meets company standards, and is clean and inviting to the tenants, visitors, and prospects.
Plan and manage tenant events.
Compose professional notices and communication.

Vendor related:

Effectively coordinate assigned vendor relationships, e g. janitorial and landscaping, including regular contact to promptly identify and resolve issues, managing service levels to meet contract specifications, and participating in and documenting walk-throughs.
Identify and make well thought-out recommendations to Property Manager for opportunities to reduce operating expenses and/or generate additional income.
